Coming here looking for the WebHIS blog?  After years of interesting stories about the evolution of WebHIS and many of the features and functionalities that were added to it over the years, I decided it was time for a change so I took down all the older pages and have begun re-imaging what this blog should be about.  Stay tuned for new posts coming soon....

(New to WebHIS and wondering what is was?  WebHIS is/was a web based hospital and clinical information system developed by a small team of dedicated software developers in New Jersey.

WebHIS rivaled commercial systems like Epic, Cerner, and Meditech featuring a more focused clinician experience, built for clinicians, with clinicians.

Consultants asked to take a look at WebHIS were amazed at it's functionality, one consultant calling it not just an information system, but a "platform" because of all it had to offer.  Physicians and nurses during their training session on WebHIS frequently proclaimed how easy it was to use (and how much better it was than the commercial systems they used at surrounding hospitals).

I was, using Disney's terms. the chief Imagineer, identifying clinical workflow and putting my clinician's hat on (I was never officially trained as a clinician but always admired their knowledge and expertise) asking myself if I were that clinician what would I want, what information should be on the screen, what should the screen do?  Most times I hit the nail right on the head delivering just what the clinician needed.)
